2. September 11, 2015, vs. Kansas City Royals

If you’ve ever seen the Chris Davis broken bat gif, it was generated from this moment, at number two.

Nolan Reimold, three batters prior cleared the bases with a grand-slam and gave the Baltimore Orioles an 8-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth.

Kansas City Royals reliever Franklin Morales came on to face Manny Machado, and in turn, allowed a home run to him. This put the O’s up 9-6.

The next batter, Davis, took a 93-mph, first pitch fastball, right in the back.

Davis slammed his bat down, broke it at the handle, and stared Morales down as he walked to first base.

Showalter came out and wanted to know why only warnings were issued, as he believed Morales should have been tossed for what appeared to be intentionally throwing at Davis.

Accordingly, the umpiring crew didn’t agree, and after a heated debate, Buck Showalter was ejected.

That was his 12th ejection with the Orioles.
