How to watch NBA Playoffs 2017: Wizards vs. Hawks live stream, TV info and more
The 2017 NBA playoffs move to day two of opening weekend as the Washington Wizards vs. Atlanta Hawks first-round playoff series begins.
The No. 4 seed Washington Wizards will kick off the second day of the 2017 NBA playoffs against the No. 5 seed Atlanta Hawks Sunday afternoon on TNT at the Verizon Center. Though the Wizards are favorites according to OddsShark.com, this remains one of the most intriguing first-round series given John Wall and the Wizards crave for revenge and the rivalry between two Southeast Division heavyweights.
The Wizards come into the playoffs losing five of their last eight regular season games, while the Hawks went on a four-game win streak before losing to the Indiana Pacers in the season finale, earning a playoff spot in the heart of the East playoff picture.
While the series is a rematch of the 2015 East Semifinals, when the Wizards fell in six games, both teams come into their 2017 playoff series with vastly different rosters than in 2015. The Wizards no longer have the services of NBA superstar Paul Pierce, big man Nene and veteran backup point guard Ramon Sessions. Furthermore, the Hawks are lacking Al Horford, DeMarre Carroll, Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver.
