Will the Baltimore Orioles get a better effort from starting pitchers?

This is a bit of a loaded question, as the Orioles can’t hope for much more from Dylan Bundy. Bundy, who starts Tuesday night, started the Orioles’ second game of the season and was very good. He went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits with zero walks and eight strikeouts. It was an excellent first start, and the Orioles will look for a repeat performance on Tuesday.

Ubaldo Jimenez, who starts on Wednesday, is a different story. Ubaldo went 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits with one walk and five strikeouts.

One inning Ubaldo looked terrible, the next he was effective. The Orioles need Jimenez to be consistent and get through at least the fifth inning to help cut down on the early season load that has been put on the bullpen.
