Baltimore Orioles finalized their 25-man rotation as Opening Day baseball 2017 is underway.

The Baltimore Orioles roster received its final tune-ups Sunday as Opening Day baseball 2017 has begun.

The Orioles 25-man roster is complete and ready to go as the O’s welcome American League East foe Toronto Blue Jays to Oriole Park at Camden Yards on April 3 at 3:05 p.m. ET.

However, as usual, the Orioles active roster is set to go through many changes for the immediate future with starting pitchers Chris Tillman and Wade Miley beginning the season on the disabled list.

More from Baltimore Orioles

Tillman, who is suffering from right shoulder bursitis, and southpaw Miley were placed on the league’s new 10-day disabled list. Miley’s injury is far less concerning as he’s been dealing with a nasty upper respiratory infection. According to MLB.com, Miley is projected back on April 9, with Tillman possibly returning in early May.

As a result, the Orioles Opening Day roster will have just three starting pitchers including Opening Day starter Kevin Gausman, Dylan Bundy and Ubaldo Jimenez. The Orioles filled the rest of their pitching staff with relievers, eight to be exact.

Here are the 11 pitchers that made the O’s 25-man roster:

So, you may wonder where did Orioles roster hopefuls Jayson Aquino, Gabriel Ynoa and Alec Asher? Well, all three pitchers were optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, but don’t assume they won’t reach the Major League roster sometime in 2017. Right-handed pitcher Mike Wright will begin the season in Norfolk, as well.

Orioles’ Trey Mancini headlines the Orioles 25-man roster on the offensive side, earning himself a roster spot after leading the O’s in RBIs (14) during spring training play. Also, Mancini smashed three home runs with a .357 batting average.

Like Mancini, 24-year-old outfielder Joey Rickard and veteran 33-year-old Craig Gentry secured themselves a spot on the Orioles roster after an extraordinary spring training.

Anthony Santander will start the season on the disabled list, along with slugger Pedro Alvarez starting seventh major league season in Triple-A Norfolk.
