4. Curtis Samuel – Ohio State
Curtis Samuel has been compared to Percy Harvin, as he’s an explosive, exceptionally fast playmaker who could work in the NFL as either a receiver, a running back, or some kind of hybrid (similar to what Harvin did).
Samuel had an amazing 40-yard dash, posting a 4.31 time. He’s more than just his speed and explosiveness though, he’s a solid route runner and can get separation with ease.
Once Samuel does catch the ball, that’s where the fun begins, as he’s incredibly dangerous after the catch. He could easily line up in the slot or outside and could stretch just about any NFL defense vertically in a big way.
Last season, Samuel finished the year with 74 catches for 865 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had 771 yards on the ground and eight touchdowns, averaging 7.9 YPC.
He’ll likely be drafted at the tail end of the first round or the beginning of the second. He’s an exceptional talent and someone that the Ravens should really think about.
