Over the past few seasons, the Washington Wizards have made some excellent draft picks that have put the team in a good position to win. But it hasn’t always been that way. Here are the five worst draft picks in Wizards history.

The Washington Wizards have made some great draft picks over the years. Between drafting John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Otto Porter, the team has made some great moves to set themselves up to win.

But they haven’t always drafted well. In fact, in the 2000s, they were known to be a team that often drafted pretty poorly.

The NBA Draft is a volatile thing, as any draft in any sport is. You pick a player whom you and your scouts think will be the next star for your team for years to come based on their performance in college (or in the case of some older draft picks, in high school), and you hope for the best.

Sometimes, it works out and you’ve got a star, or at least a viable starting player. But sometimes, you draft someone high up, and it bombs hard.

Here are the five worst draft picks in Washington Wizards history. I’ve included players that were drafted after the players the Wizards picked, just to make it that much more painful to read.
