2. Comeback win over the Los Angeles Clippers

One of, if not, the signature win that helped ignite the Wizards remarkable December turnaround came on a Sunday matinee against one the Western Conference elites, the Los Angeles Clippers.

Washington battled back from a seven-point deficit with just 6:23 remaining to seize their third straight victory and fifth consecutive win at Verizon Center. Wizards guard Bradley Beal played a vital role in the Wizards’ victory over the Clippers by scoring 41 points, just a point shy of his career-high, along with six three-point field goals.

Except for Markieff Morris‘ dominating performance against the Chicago Bulls in early November, the 13th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft played a key role in the Wizards win over the Clippers, shooting 10-of-17 for 23 points with nine rebounds. Wall dished out 11 dimes with 18 points to boost the Wizards ahead of the visiting team for the team’s first victory over the Clippers since 2014.

As time expired, Wall jumped up and down in excitement, raising his fist in the air as the 17,380 in attendance erupted in cheers.
