The Baltimore Orioles’ rumors and news updates continue to be linked to free agents, but continue to stay quiet on the free agent front as Spring Training continues to draw closer.

Who wants a Baltimore Orioles‘ update? You do? Well, you have come to the right place.

Mark Trumbo is still a free agent, and the Baltimore Orioles still the favorites to sign him. It appears he still has not received an offer from any other team.

Jose Bautista is not a free agent, officially returning to the Toronto Blue Jays for a one-year deal with mutual options. Bautista will make more in 2017 ($18+ million) than the qualifying offer the Blue Jays gave him. Does someone seem desperate?

More from Baltimore Orioles

Someone with at least a few ties to the Baltimore Orioles will make it into the Hall of Fame as a player. It appears that player will be Tim Raines, who was traded to the Orioles in 2001 for a very short cup of coffee, mainly to play a few games with his son.

Vladimir Guerrero will fall just short of making the Hall this year, it appears. As someone who lives in the Harrisburg area, I was and always will be a huge Guerrero fan. He was one of the cornerstones that made the Harrisburg Senators (Nationals’ Double-A affiliate) one of the top minor league franchises of the 1990s.

For that reason, it was painful to watch him play for the Orioles, where his skills had obviously diminished.

Curt Schilling is also going to fall short this year, as is Sammy Sosa. I’ll leave those two at that, as I am not one to wade in to the Hall of Fame debate.

Back to the current team, Oriole Park at Camden Yards was named the best stadium experience in sports. No complaint from this writer, as I have been to other places, but nothing is better than Camden Yards!

Still looking for an actual Baltimore Orioles update?

Fanfest autograph vouchers have gone on sale, and of course, you can get autographs with all your favorite Orioles, with the money going to several great charities.

The Orioles have been known over the years for signing someone just before Fanfest. Would I be surprised if that happened this year? Absolutely not.

The Orioles still have some money to use to better their roster. That could be on Mark Trumbo, Pedro Alvarez or another outfielder (I am not an Angel Pagan fan).

Or it could be on Jason Hammel, Doug Fister or another pitcher. Vance Worley is still a free agent if you are looking for former Orioles the team has an interest in.

Dan Duquette’s time to shine is coming folks. It is time for the Orioles to make their moves.

For Oriole fans, it couldn’t come soon enough.
