Baltimore Orioles: Inside Look of the Current 40-Man Roster

Zach Britton, Darren O’Day, Brad Brach, Mychal Givens, Donnie Hart, Oliver Drake, TJ McFarland, Jason Garcia, Parker Bridwell, Jayson Aquino, Jesus Liranzo
First five on this list are all in the bullpen in 2017. Sure, Donnie Hart is a bit of a question mark, but I think he will be in it. If you add Verrett, that makes six in the bullpen. Let’s say that Jimenez is also in the bullpen to start the season; that only leaves one spot. TJ McFarland is out of options and is left-handed, so he makes sense.
Jason Garcia isn’t ready yet, and neither is Jesus Liranzo or Parker Bridwell. All spent most of their time in AA or lower in 2016. Jayson Aquino is a bit of a wild card, as he could make the team, although it is unlikely. Oliver Drake spent some time on the Norfolk shuttle in 2016 and is the most likely candidate to make the team.
Next: Jose Bautista, aka The Baltimore Villain
Of course, someone is likely to be signed as a free agent, but it still will be interesting to see what happens with the bullpen, with players like Verrett, McFarland, Wright, Wilson, Gunkel, and the extra starter all in the mix.
