Despite a starting rotation that held a lofty 4.72 ERA last season, Baltimore Orioles executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette seems content with his starting rotation headed into the offseason. Duquette explained to MLB.com Orioles reporter Brittany Ghiroli, “We need to address the depth of our outfield — that’s what we are going to be working on in the winter.”

Duquette did not exclude the possibility of upgrading their bullpen this offseason, and this is where relief pitcher Boone Logan comes into play. Logan, 32, struggled in his first two seasons with the Rockies, posting and ERA of 6.84 in 2014 and 4.33 in 2015. However, in the third and final year of his contract with the Rockies, the southpaw appeared in 66 games in relief, with a solid 3.69 ERA.

In the home-run friendly park of Coors Field, Logan allowed just four home runs with a 1.014 WHIP. The acquisition of Logan would supplement an already strong Orioles bullpen and a left-handed pitcher the Orioles actively searched during the season in 2016.
