4. New York Yankees – Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Hicks

Preseason prediction – 4th, Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Hicks, Mason Williams, Slade Heathcott

Ellsbury had his best year in years, but still, comes in fourth. Jacoby hit .263/.330/.374 with 9 HRs, 24 RBIs, 56 RBIs, 71 runs, 20 SBs but 8 CS. His oWAR was 1.9, and his dWAR was 1.2 for a combined WAR of 2.8

Another good part of his year was how many games Ellsbury played, as he started138 games in center field, and played in 148 games. Which is good news, because Aaron Hicks also hit below .200.

Ellsbury’s range no longer is what it once was, but his runs saved numbers were quite good, and his fielding percentage (.989) for a CF was fourth-best in the AL.

Ellsbury also added five triples, which put him in the top 10 in the AL, But, he was also caught stealing the fifth-most in the league.
