The Baltimore Ravens along with the rest of the NFL have released their Color Rush uniforms. Are fans in love with the outcome of the Ravens’ new uniforms?

The Baltimore Ravens along with the rest of the NFL have released their Color Rush uniforms. They will don purple jerseys (with gold numbers), purple pants and their usual black helmets.

The Ravens have all purple uniforms and they remind me of that A$AP Rocky song, “Purple Swag”. The only problem is that they don’t have too much swagger. I’m not too big of a fan of them. Here’s why:

Purple is the main color for the Ravens. That is fine and all, but Nike has used the Ravens’ third color, gold, to be the color of the numbers. The Ravens’ gold doesn’t look too good as the color of the numbers. For that matter, the gold doesn’t look good at all. Many fans remember the debacle of Baltimore’s gold pants:

Hideous right? So why are they wearing jerseys with gold numbers? I’m not sure why at all. I would’ve liked to see something different. Their black uniforms are a fan favorite and they usually wear them during prime time night home games. Those jerseys are sufficient as is. I know that the Ravens wouldn’t have used them in the Color Rush game against the Cleveland Browns during week 10.

They could’ve used another color for the numbers on the black jerseys. The numbers and letters should be purple. Black uniforms (purple letters and numbers) would’ve looked the best in my opinion. Where have I seen this before? None other than their practice jerseys that Joe Flacco properly displays here:

Yes the practice uniforms have the ads on them. NFL uniforms do not yet have ads (thank goodness). But, the Ravens could’ve used them as the Color Rush jerseys without the ads and had black pants to wear with them.

Another option would’ve been black uniforms with the Maryland flag displayed within the numbers and letters. Many Marylanders and others who like our flag, would be fans of this proposal:

What are your thoughts on the Ravens uniform?
