Who Leads the Ravens Offense?

Here is something you will be shocked to read about the Ravens: they actually have some playmakers. So much so, we still have no clue who will be the top threat on this offense.

Marc Trestman has three running backs, five wide receivers and three tight ends to work with to start the season. The question now is who becomes the top dog on offense?

Steve Smith was the focal point of the passing game until tearing his Achilles. Once Smith went down, it was Kamar Aiken that garnered most of the targets. This season, it could one of them, Mike Wallace, Maxx Williams, Dennis Pitta or Breshad Perriman.

Harbaugh wants the running game to be emphasized more this season after a year in which the Ravens were forced to throw because they were behind in so many games. The ground attack was not the same once Javorius Allen took over for Justin Forsett. That prompted the team to use a draft pick on Kenneth Dixon, and the surprise of the summer has been the play of hometown kid Terrance West.

It is a good problem to have too many good players to get the ball into their hands. Injuries are sure to be a factor and the Ravens have depth this season, unlike we saw last year. There might not be a bonafide star on this roster, but enough talent to make big plays.
