Baltimore could enter the game with only seven healthy wide receivers. That would give youngsters such as Jeremy Butler Keenan Reynolds, Kaelin Clay, Dobson Collins and Chuck Jacobs an opportunity to get extended playing time and impress the coaching staff against the Panthers secondary.

Kamar Aiken and Mike Wallace will start, with all eyes will be on the newly acquired speedster who the Ravens are hoping brings the home-run threat back to the offense. While it will not be Flacco getting him the ball in this game, Mallett has a cannon for an arm as well and you would think it is inevitable that they try one deep pass.

The Panthers surprisingly decided to part ways with Josh Norman, who is a 295 ride away in Washington. That leaves Carolina’s secondary with Kurt Coleman, who did finish with seven interceptions last season, and a group of players that are unproven. This is a perfect chance for one of the aforementioned names to earn a spot on this team.

Reynolds will draw the most attention as he makes the transition from college quarterback to NFL wide receiver. It has been a rough camp thus far for the NCAA’s all-time leader in touchdowns, but he is a special talent. He also is in another competition that could keep him in the mix.
