The guys are back with Episode 10 of BMore Wired and happy to welcome John Scheffenacker, better known as Orioles Sunglass Guy.

This one is for the memory books.

For years, we have seen this guy just over the shoulder of some of our favorite Baltimore Orioles. He’s the guy always wearing the sunglasses and tie just over the dugout. We wondered how this younger guy had some of the best seats at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. So we reached out to him on Twitter and he was willing to talk with us for nearly an hour.

The stories we would tell were amazing throughout the show. Obviously, we could not be if him on the show and not talk Orioles baseball. There was a long discussion on the addition of Wade Miley and “Streaky” Steve Pearce’s return to Baltimore. That also got us to wondering who could be the odd men out with the deadline deals.

Everyone’s favorite Orioles pitcher, Ubaldo Jimenez, seemed to be a consensus between us, but will the front office eat that salary? We found out earlier today that would not be the case as Tyler Wilson and Odrisamer Despaigne were optioned to Triple-A Norfolk. The moves do make sense because of the fact that they did have options available and did not have to cut anyone.

Co-host Scott Rosario, who is in the Outer Banks for the show, had a few questions for Orioles Sunglass Guy that will make you laugh. John has some perfect responses to some of the questions, and that’s when we knew that this guy was not just a crazy Orioles fan, but a great guy to talk sports with.

We decided to keep him on for the remainder of the show, where we switched into our discussion on the Ravens. We discussed our expectations for this upcoming Ravens’ season and highlighted the progress of the Ravens fourth-round picks during training camp, including former Temple Owl, Tavon Young.

We ended the show with our segment titled “7s” where we discuss seven random sports stories around the globe. Here are the topics we discussed on this week’s show:

1. Brian Matusz started for the Chicago Cubs on Sunday night, and it did not go well. He was designated for assignment the following day, and deep down, that was gratifying as former Orioles have thrived with the Cubs as of late.

2. The MLB Trade Deadline has just passed and there were a record number of deals. We talk the winners and biggest surprises of the deadline.

3. Billy Butler of the Oakland Athletics got into a bit of a taunting match in the middle of an at bat with the Cleveland Indians. He hit a home run on the next pitch and he let everyone on the Indians know about. We love us some “Country Breakfast” even if he owns the Orioles.

4. Two Texas A&M assistant coaches were suspended without pay after some crude messages during a slideshow during a women’s football seminar. “Did Johnny Manziel host this seminar?”

5. Draymond Green is once again in the news after sending a photo of his you-know-what to the world on Snapchat. Gross.

6. The Olympics begin on Friday and there is a lot going wrong in Brazil. Although we are concerned about the gross water, Zika virus and crime, GO USA!!

7. The NFL is back Sunday night with the first preseason game between the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. Are you watching? We are.

Once again, we want to thank John aka Orioles Sunglass Guy for joining the show. It was a lot of fun. Listen in next week for more Orioles, Ravens and Terps coverage. Until then, cue the Delmon Young.
