ILB: C.J. Mosley, Zach Orr, Arthur Brown

CB: Jimmy Smith, Shareece Wright, Jerraud Powers, Will Davis, Tavon Young, Maurice Canady

S: Eric Weddle, Lardarius Webb, Matt Elam, Kendrick Lewis

The Ravens defense will be the catalyst if they hope to turn their record from a five-win team to a playoff contender. The defensive line is stout, led by Williams and Jernigan, but also have great depth behind them. They are without a doubt the best unit on the team.

Suggs and Dumervil opening camp on the PUP list will give an opportunity for the younger outside linebackers to get more looks. Dean Pees is high on Za’Darius Smith and the Ravens added Judon and Correa to get after the passer. Keep an eye on Ochi as well. He is the undrafted rookie I feel has the best chance of making the roster because of his ability to get after the quarterback.

The secondary is where the Ravens made the biggest changes. We know three of the four starters: Weddle and Webb at safety, and Smith at one cornerback position. After that, it’s a guessing game.

Davis, Powers and Wright will battle it out for the other starting corner position. Young will get a chance at the job as the nickel corner. Canady makes the team as the punt returner and a project for the Ravens to develop at corner. He has the size that the Ravens covet.
