How Many Tight Ends Make Roster?

The Ravens have a surplus of talent at tight end, a position that usually only takes three spots on the roster. Baltimore has as many as five players that could make the team, although Darren Waller and Nick Boyle both will be suspended to start the season which hurts their chances of making the club.

Ben Watson and Maxx Williams will be a part of this team for sure based on their contract and draft selection. Crockett Gillmore has shown flashes of having the skills to be a factor in the NFL. Dennis Pitta is the biggest question mark to make the team because of his injury history, but he’s supposedly been impressive in workouts. Pitta will be the one that makes this a difficult decision, but my gut tells me all four make the club.

Which Wide Receivers Stick Around?

The Ravens’ offense still does not have the game-changing wide out that they have desperately been searching for, but they will have some solid depth heading into this season. That wasn’t the case last year and it came back to haunt them once injuries started to mount.

Steve Smith and Breshad Perriman are coming back from injuries, but both are expected to be a big part of the offense. Kamar Aiken showed he can play in the NFL and newcomer Mike Wallace is out to prove that he still has something left in the tank. They also added Chris Moore and Keenan Reynolds in the draft, and still have Michael Campanaro and Jeremy Butler on the roster. If Pitta makes the roster, he’s likely taking a spot away from this position as well.
