It really came as no surprise that the Ravens brought in a veteran to add to the competition. Vladimir Ducasse has more experience than anyone who will be in the mix. He started 21 games over the past three season, including 11 starts for the Chicago Bears last season.

What makes Ducasse intriguing is his ability to also play tackle. The Ravens have no proven option behind Ricky Wagner or Ronnie Stanley. James Hurst is the only experienced tackle on the roster, and let’s be honest, none of us want to see him on the field again. He is the one who got Flacco’s torn up.

Ducasse was a second-round pick of the New York Jets in 2010, but the Ravens will be his fourth team in as many years (Jets, Vikings, Bears). Could Baltimore be the place he calls home for years to come? He is going to have to fight off a group of youngsters to claim a starting role.
