2016 NFL Draft: Final Baltimore Ravens Full NFL Mock Draft
By Joe Serpico
The Ravens will use their first and last picks on former Oregon Ducks as Matt Hegarty will fill the void left by Osemele’s departure. He can play guard and center, and after losing Jeremy Zuttah for most of last season, they could use someone that could fill in if need be.
Hegarty started his collegiate career at Notre Dame, but transferred to Oregon as a graduate player. He was the center for Vernon Adams, another player to transfer to Eugene for his last collegiate season. He is undersized for a typical NFL lineman, but showed that he was capable of holding up against some stiff competition in the Pac-12.
Hegarty will be a project, but that is expected with late round picks. He would likely start the season on the Ravens practice squad as offensive line coach Juan Castillo grooms him.
