Week 5: Washington Redskins – Oct. 9, 2016 (1:00 p.m.)

2015 Record: 9-7
Head-to-Head Record: 3-2
Last Meeting: Ravens 28 – Redskins 31 (Dec. 9, 2012)

It’s normal for these teams to face off during the preseason due to their close proximity, but that will not be the case this season due to the regular season matchup. Some call it the “Battle of the Beltway” and a rivalry, but it’s really not. The two teams have only five regular season games since the inception of the Ravens franchise, and 2008 was the last time they played in Baltimore.

Washington is the lone playoff team from a year ago that the Ravens will see in the first eight weeks of the season. They have turned the franchise over to Kirk Cousins and he won them the NFC East last season. That’s not much of a statement because that whole division was terrible last season.

The Ravens were not better last season, but these are the type of games Harbaugh does not lose at home. There is a possibility that this team could be sitting at 5-0 and playing the next two road games in the same stadium.
