Week 1: Buffalo Bills – Sept. 11, 2016 (1:00 p.m.)

2015 Record: 8-8
Head-to-Head Record: 3-3
Last Meeting: Ravens 20 – Bills 23 (Sept. 29, 2013)

The first week of the NFL season will bring a lot of familiar faces back to Baltimore. The Bills are led by Rex Ryan, a former defensive coordinator for Harbaugh, and Tyrod Taylor, who served as Flacco’s backup until heading to Buffalo last year. Ryan will also have Ravens legend Ed Reed on his sidelines as an assistant defensive backs coach.

It will be strange to see Reed on the other sideline, but Harbaugh has a perfect record against Ryan (3-0) when Rex was coaching the New York Jets. The Ravens are also 4-1 under Harbaugh when they play at home in Week 1.

The Bills will be no pushover, however, and have some firepower on offense with Taylor, running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Not to mention that Ryan’s defense will be better in his second year in Buffalo. It’s possible that this game is Flacco’s first game action as he recovers from his knee injury. Coming off a 5-11 season, they need to start 2016 with a win.
