The Baltimore Ravens are happy to hear the news of the trade between the Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams.

The fear leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft was that no quarterback would be taken ahead of the Baltimore Ravens and they would be left without one of the top defensive players. That all changed with a colossal trade made for the top pick in the draft.

Hollywood is coming into the league with a bang. The Los Angeles Rams acquired the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft in exchange for six picks to the Tennessee Titans. The move puts the Rams in position to select the quarterback of their choice with the top pick.

This is important for the Ravens because it brings the possibility of two quarterbacks being taken ahead of them. That could bring them the man they want with the sixth pick.

Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack and DeForest Buckner are highly coveted by most NFL teams, but few find themselves in position to actually land one of them. It is no real secret that the Ravens are eyeing up one of the defensive stalwarts. So are the five teams ahead of them.

With the deal by the Rams, a quarterback could go in the first two picks. Jeremy Tunsil, the presumptive top choice by the Titans, would likely fall to No. 3 to the San Diego Chargers. Just do some math and the Ravens will end up with one of the three they want.

This is all contingent on the fact that two quarterbacks do go in the top five. If the Cleveland Browns don’t feel one is worthy of the No. 2 pick, there could be several teams calling to get into the top five. The Ravens could be the biggest winners of the trade.

This could end up being one of the wildest drafts in recent memory. The Rams gave up a ton to get the top pick, similar to what the Washington Redskins gave them a few years back for Robert Griffin.

Ozzie Newsome has to be a happy man right now. Yesterday he might have needed to trade up to get one of his guys. Now he gets to sit back and see how the draft unfolds.
