The Ravens find themselves in a spot where they hope that one of the top defensive players is still available at No. 6. If the teams ahead of them go for quarterbacks, Baltimore could be fortunate enough to land

Jalen Ramsey

or

Joey Bosa

with their first pick.

Over the course of recent weeks, it’s seemingly less likely that a quarterback could be drafted at all before the Ravens are on the clock. That would take away some of the stars of this draft, but Baltimore still gets a prize with the addition of Vernon Hargreaves.

Hargreaves is without a doubt the top cornerback in this draft and has Pro Bowl skills. His 40 time was a little less than desired (4.50 seconds), but he is still fast enough to cover most NFL receivers. What he lacks in speed and size, he makes up for it in quickness and physicality. He has a knack for getting his hands on the ball and the Ravens desperately need that type of player after recording a league-low six interceptions last season.

Baltimore does have interest in the former Gator as he is scheduled to visit with the team. Hargreaves would be an instant upgrade over the likes of Shareece Wright and Kyle Arrington, with the playmaking potential to be one of the NFL’s best in a couple seasons.
