More from Baltimore Orioles

Steven Souza’s first year in the American League saw him strike out A TON. I mean, 144 strikeouts in 110 games. If he would have played 150 games, I bet he would have struck out 200 times. The stat line looked like .225/.318/.399 with 16 HR, 15 2Bs, 40 RBI, 59 R, and those 144 Ks.

Mahtook only played in 41 games in 2015, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in right field by the end of the year. Both of these guys are more than capable in the field, but the Rays are not a team that can afford to give up offense. For that reason, I think the Rays could platoon, or see a rotation with the hot hand at RF.
