There has been much discussion about who the Baltimore Ravens will select with their first round pick, but who are some guys they can target on the second day of the 2016 NFL Draft.

It did not take long for the National Football League to once again come back into the spotlight. We are just a few weeks removed from Super Bowl 50 and all the NFL teams have shifted their focus to this weekend’s NFL Scouting Combine.

We have written many pieces on who the Ravens should select with the No. 6 pick in the draft. Some of the popular names that have floated around are Jalen Ramsey, Ronnie Stanley, Joey Bosa, Laquon Treadwell and Vernon Hargreaves. Each of these players would come to Baltimore and make an instant impact.

It is very early in the draft process, but the combine is where things begin to ramp up. Ozzie Newsome, Eric DeCosta and the Ravens scouting staff will be in Indianapolis in search of the future of the franchise. The first round will get most of the hype because this is the first time that Baltimore has drafted in the top 10 in over a decade, but they need to find good players on the second day of the draft that are expected to make a difference.

The Ravens have had mixed success in recent years with their second and third round picks and it showed in the lack of depth this season. The jury is still out on Maxx Williams and Carl Davis. Brandon Williams, Timmy Jernigan and Kelechi Oseleme have all turned out to be very good players, but  you also cannot forget about the failures such as Sergio Kindle, Arthur Brown and Terrence Cody. They set the team back in their depth as the Ravens are trying to transition from an aging to younger team.

John Harbaugh needs players to get back to the promise land. Many feel that the Ravens have three dire needs that must be addressed in free agency or the draft. They need playmakers on both side of the ball, whether it be in the secondary, wide receiver or getting after the passer. While the top pick is going to garner much of the attention, here are some players the Ravens should keep an eye on for the second day of the draft.
