The Ravens have thrived off finding linebackers that other teams failed to draft and turning them into successful role players. Bart Scott,

Jameel McClain

and teammate Albert McClellan have all made a name for themselves on special teams and stuck around in Baltimore. Now it looks as though Orr is the next in line of undrafted linebackers to play a key role for this team.

Orr recorded his first-career sack this season and saw his playing time on defense increase as the year unfolded. Ravens coaches have raved about his play and linebackers coach Don Martindale said, “Zach’s potential is unlimited.” That’s high praise for a player from North Texas that nobody wanted in the 2014 draft.

Orr is a restricted free agent, but there is almost no chance he finds himself in a different uniform next season. With the uncertainty about the future of Smith, it is possible that Orr is the next in line at the position.
