Baltimore Ravens: 2015 Defensive Line Grades
By Joe Serpico
The rookie got off to a hot start, dominating his opponents in the preseason. His performance earned him a starting spot in two games this season as Jernigan recovered from an injury sustained in the preseason.
He recorded two tackles in the regular season opener against the Broncos, which turned out to be half his total for tackles on the season. After getting off to such a good start, Davis disappointed as the season went on. He played in 13 games this season, but the reality is we expected more from the third-rounder.
He seemed to bully offensive linemen early on, and it could be that he hit the rookie wall after a strong start. Many thought Davis would be selected in the first round of last year’s draft so all the tools are there to be a great player. With him, Jernigan and the next man on our list with the Ravens, the defensive line should be one of the better units for years to come.
