Baltimore Ravens: 2015 Wide Receiver Grades
By Joe Serpico
He teased us into believing, but believe no more. Brown has regressed brutally since a promising rookie campaign in which he had 49 receptions for 524 yards and seven touchdowns. He has since posted 38 grabs for 367 yards and no scores since.
Entering training camp, the question was who would be the opening day starter alongside Steve Smith: Perriman or Brown? It turned out to be neither, but we did not expect Brown to be a complete afterthought in the Ravens offense. His presence was minimal in the games he did play despite being thought of as a red zone threat due to his 6-foot-5 frame.
Brown injured his back and would miss most of the second half of the season before being placed on injured reserve. He’ll likely have to fight for a roster spot next year if the Ravens decide to bring him back on a one-year deal as he is set to be a free agent.
