How many times did we see the quarterback fake a run and dump it off to Juszczyk in the flat? That play seemed to be a staple in Trestman’s offense. There was a period in which that’s how the Ravens started every half of football and it was surprising that opposing teams did not catch on.
What made him so effective is how good he is as a blocker. Teams think he is getting ready to block and forget about him until he is wide open. He is difficult for linebackers to cover in space and has some speed for someone labeled as a fullback.
Often forgotten about on the Ravens offense, there is no doubting how important he is to the team. His terrific 2015 season earned him votes in the Pro Bowl ballot as an alternate for the game in Honolulu. He could head to Hawaii if Mike Tolbert and the Carolina Panthers make it to the Super Bowl.
