<p><strong>52-of-80 (65 %)</strong></p> <p><strong>540 yards</strong></p> <p><strong>3 TD / 4 INT</strong></p> <p><strong>QB Rating: 76</strong></p>. QB. Baltimore Ravens. MATT SCHAUB. E

Schaub was signed in the offseason as an emergency plan in case Flacco was hurt. Given Flacco’s track record of not missing a game in his career, it is likely that Ozzie Newsome and John Harbaugh never envisioned Schaub being needed to play. They were so wrong.

Not only was Schaub forced into action, he was asked to start two games immediately after Flacco was injured. He went 1-1 in those two games and was the quarterback at the helm for the win over the Browns. Now let’s remind you how he played in those two games.

The knock on Schaub in recent years is that he turns the ball over too often and that leads to scores. Even worse, he throws interceptions that are returned for a touchdown seemingly in every game. This happened in both games he started for the Ravens and earned himself the title of ‘Mr. Pick-Six’ by several fans.

He also was the reason the Ravens were put into the position to potentially lose the game against Cleveland. Schaub threw a terrible interception in the Ravens final drive that have the Browns possession in great field position. If it wasn’t for Brent Urban blocking a field goal and Will Hill returning the kick for a score, it was Schaub’s fault Baltimore loses that game.

Schaub suffered several injuries in the game against Cleveland and ultimately would give way to Jimmy Clausen. It is hard to imagine that the Ravens would bring Schaub back next season as a backup, and this could have been the last time you see him on the field.
