The Baltimore Ravens have had an abysmal season due to major injuries, questionable coaching decisions, and bad overall play.

The Ravens have had 19 players on injured reserve and this is not including tight end Dennis Pitta. He has been out all season recovering from a hip injury.

Dean Pees has been the scapegoat for many of the Ravens’ woes on defense. Also, head coach John Harbaugh has been critical of their bad technique as well as overall poor play. After the Seattle Seahawks game, Harbaugh had this to say about his 14th ranked defense:

"It was bad. It has to be better than that. It’s no individual guy’s fault, it’s just not as good as it needs to be. I’ll take responsibility for that. We have to play way, way better pass defense. We have to play better in pass defense. And those guys are good players and all that, but you have to cover guys closer, you have to be on the right guy, all those kind of things. We’ll go to work on it, and we’ll find a way to do it better. It’s not complicated stuff. We’ll keep working on it."

Although this has caused many fans to start panicking about the team’s future, they shouldn’t fret too much. 2016 may be a bright season for the Ravens and there are plenty of reasons why.
