Forget what you think of the man off the field following the infamous video of him punching his wife. The numbers show that Rice was one of the best players at the position during his prime.

Rice rushed for 6,180 yards and also added 3,034 yards receiving, the most combined yards for any player in franchise history. He is third all-time in team receptions with 369 catches and fifth in scoring with 260 points scored. Rice was named to the Pro Bowl three times and led the league in yards from scrimmage in 2011 with 2,068 total yards. Including the playoffs, he’s amassed for 10,260 yards from scrimmage in his six seasons with Baltimore.

The former Rutgers star was close to reaching another Ravens running back that is later on this list for the most rushing yards in team history. He is also remembered for one of the top plays in franchise history: the “Hey diddle diddle, Ray Rice up the middle” play in which he converted a fourth-and-29 for a first down as a part of the Ravens run to Super Bowl XLVII.

Rice could have been much higher on this list if his career continued, but he hasn’t seen the field since the much-publicized domestic abuse case. There is no denying that he was terrific player for John Harbaugh during his tenure in Baltimore and it’s a shame that he ruined a pretty good career because of one bad incident.
