The Ravens first overall pick as an organization turned out to be the first Raven elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. OGwen was an eleven-time Pro Bowl selection and named an All-Pro for nine season in which he played his entire career in Baltimore.
Ogden was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round with the fourth overall choice. He was highly coveted coming out of UCLA, but few expected that he would revolutionize the left tackle position and be the building block for the Ravens offense for years to come.
Ogden was in charge of protecting the blindside for the Ravens quarterbacks during their 2000 Super Bowl, whether it was Tony Banks or Trent Dilfer. He was the man at left tackle when Vinny Testaverde, Jim Harbaugh, Steve McNair and Elvis Grbac were under center. In all, he protected 15 Raven quarterbacks. Know for being one of the most athletic players on the field, he also was on the receiving end of two touchdown passes, one in 1996 and another in 2003.
Ogden was the anchor of the offensive line for 12 seasons, and with the Ravens during the good and the bad of this franchise. He announced his retirement on June 12, 2008 and was a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2013.
