Baltimore Ravens: Score Prediction vs. Seattle Seahawks
By Joe Serpico
The Baltimore Ravens welcome the Seattle Seahawks to M&T Bank Stadium this week. Here is our prediction for the game on Sunday.
Fans of the Baltimore Ravens know how bad the team has been playing. The National Football League has taken notice as well.
The NFL originally scheduled the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Ravens for Sunday Night Football. It was supposed to be a matchup of two playoff hopefuls. Instead, the game has been flexed out to a 1 p.m. start because the Ravens are not good enough for prime time.
That is the Ravens season in a nutshell. A season of high hopes has crumbled to a year that the entire NFL has written them off.
The Ravens are getting no love in the Pro Bowl voting. Joe Flacco and the majority of the stars on this team are on injured reserve. The schedule makers did the team no favors as the last four games are against teams fighting for playoff spots. The two-time defending NFC Champions are headed to Charm City and are playing high quality football.
This season has been difficult to watch, but starting this week, it might become unbearable.
Prediction:
Earlier in the week, I wrote how the game against the Seahawks could get ugly. Now you know how ugly I feel it can get.
The Ravens have been in hard-fought contests the entire season as every game has been decided by eight points or less. They have kept us on our toes wondering if they are going to pull of a win or not. This week, they are going to get trampled.
Seattle is the hottest team in the NFL right now. They have been obliterating their opponents as Russell Wilson has played his best football as a pro over the past month. Now they get to take on a time that is injury-ridden and with little to play for.
John Harbaugh has said that both Matt Schaub and Jimmy Clausen could play Sunday. There is an old cliché in football that if you have two starting quarterbacks, you have none. That’s the case with the Ravens as there is no commitment to either one of them. Both players could be here for four more games and headed elsewhere in 2016.
The defense has played better as of late, but as noted earlier in the week, the opposition was nowhere near the level as the Seahawks. In fact, the next four games have the makings for a miserable end to the season. Thats not what we have come to expect from the Ravens since Harbaugh took over.
Maybe they shock us and keep it close. They have done that a few times against better teams this season, including the loss against the Arizona Cardinals. That was the only other game this season I predicted a large loss for the Ravens.

Hopefully, I am wrong about this prediction and the Ravens shock us all by getting a huge win at home.
