Baltimore Ravens: 5 Keys to Victory vs. Cleveland Browns
By Joe Serpico
Get Buck Allen Going
One of the few highlights of the last game between these two teams was the performance on the ground by the Ravens. Baltimore rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns in the first matchup, but it was Forsett that gained 121 yards on 21 carries. With Forsett out for the season with a broken arm, the Ravens turn to Javorius Allen to lead the charge.
Allen did not have a great game against the Rams in his first extended action of his NFL career, rushing for 67 yards on 22 carries. The Rams have one of, if not the best, defensive lines in football which made it difficult for the Ravens to get anything going on the ground. That is not the case with Cleveland. The Browns have allowed a league-worst 138.8 yards per game on the ground, and Allen accounted for 58 yards the last time out.
With the Ravens likely to limit Schaub’s impact on the game, the Ravens will need to get the running game going. Allen will lead the Ravens rushing attack, but Terrance West will also get some looks against his former team. Baltimore must dominate the line of scrimmage and keep the Browns offense off the field.
