Limit Matt Schaub’s Mistakes

Matt Schaub has not started a game since the season finale with the Texans of the 2013 season. The main reason why Schaub has not seen the field since that day is his tendency to turn the ball over. He has thrown just 10 passes in the past two seasons, two of which were intercepted. One of those interceptions was also returned for a touchdown, a far too common problem for Schaub over the past few seasons.

Offensive coordinator Marc Trestman has to come up with a game plan that does not put Schaub in tough situations. Schaub has really struggled with throws outside the hash marks which limits how the Ravens can attack the Browns. In his prime, Schaub was known for having great accuracy and has always favored throwing to his tight ends. Due to the injuries, the Ravens young tight ends are the best unit on the team.

The Browns enter the contest with the 30th-ranked defense and will be without cornerback Joe Haden. Schaub will have to make a few plays for Baltimore to win this game, but must protect the football.
