Ravens Injury Report: Kelechi Osemele, Nick Boyle INACTIVE vs. St. Louis Rams
By Joe Serpico
The Baltimore Ravens will be without the services of some key players when they take on the St. Louis Rams at M&T Bank Stadium today.
Guard Kelechi Osemele and tight end Nick Boyle are both inactive today. Osemele is dealing with a knee injury and his absence comes as no surprise as he missed Friday’s practice. Ryan Jensen will start in his place.
The loss of Osemele is a huge blow to the Ravens offensive line as they take on a Rams front that is one of the best in the NFL. They are already without starting center Jeremy Zuttah, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week.
Boyle has been wearing a walking boot this week and there is some talk about whether the rookie will end up on injured reserve. Newly acquired tight end Chase Ford is also inactive, leaving Baltimore with just Crockett Gillmore and Maxx Williams as the only healthy tight ends on the roster.
In our five keys to victory, we highlighted the matchup between the Ravens offensive line and Rams D-line. Now the Ravens will have two players making their first career starts on the interior in Jensen and John Urschel at center. It’s a tough matchup for both as they will be going up against a defensive line with Aaron Donald, Chris Long and Robert Quinn.
