Week 14: Seattle Seahawks
October 22, 2015; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (24) receives the hand off from quarterback Russell Wilson (3) during the first quarter against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi
Dec. 13, 8:30 p.m. EST
The Seahawks have started off slow this season, sitting at 4-4 and currently in third place in the NFC West. However, they did the same last year and were able to turn it on down the stretch to make it to the Super Bowl in consecutive years. No one is counting them out of doing the same this season.
Here is what scares you about Seattle. The Ravens were abysmal against the San Francisco 49ers, allowing Colin Kaepernick, Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith to shred the secondary for 326 passing yards. The next week against the Seahawks, the Niners were held to 142 yards of total offense in a very lopsided 20-3 loss. It makes you wonder just how ugly this one could get.
The duo of Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch give opposing defenses nightmares. They are even more troubling once they get the read-option game going because that opens up the passing game as well. The Ravens have been in close games all season – the largest loss was by just eight points – but this one has the makings of blowout.
