Will Hill

For all the trouble that the Ravens secondary has caused, Hill has played admirably for Dean Pees this season. He is third on the team in tackles with 32 and has eight assisted tackles as well. He has also recorded a sack, an interception and four passes defended during the first half of the season. He’s the No. 3 ranked safety by Pro Football Focus and the Ravens are satisfied enough with his play that they give him a two-year extension.

Ever since Hill entered the starting lineup for the Ravens last season, he has been one of the best defensive players on the field. He has done a solid job of covering opposing tight ends and is terrific in run support. The secondary is getting much of the blame for the down season, but Hill is doing everything he can to make a difference.

At the halfway point of the season the only runaway winner with any of these honors has been Steve Smith. The Ravens will practice a few days this week before taking off the weekend to allow players to recover.
