Baltimore Ravens: October Award Winners

Defensive Rookie of the Year
This award was hard to give to any of the defensive rookies now as none have played that well in October. I feel obligated to name someone a “winner” so Smith gets the nod over Carl Davis.Smith started off the month with a bang, recording two sacks in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a much-needed performance from the rookie who were without Chris Canty and Terrell Suggs in the game.
With the Ravens season virtually over already, Smith will likely see an increase in playing time as the season continues. He was drafted with the intention of being the team’s third pass rusher and more repetitions will only help the Kentucky product moving forward.
