Eliminate the Pressure on Flacco

Earlier in the week, Jamison Hensley of ESPN wrote a piece detailing just how bad Flacco has been under pressure this season. Here are the stagger numbers Hensley provided us:

“His 53.5 passer rating is the worst in the NFL

His five interceptions are tied for the worst with Kirk Cousins

His 49.4 completion rate ranks No. 29

His 5.6 average yards per attempt ranks No. 30″
A big reason Flacco has been under duress so often is that opposing defense have no fear in the Ravens skill position players. That has allowed teams to go man-to-man with the Ravens receivers and bring the necessary pressure to get to Flacco.

Things won’t get better this week as the Ravens could be without both Eugene Monroe and Kelechi Osemele due to injuries. They could also be without rookie tight end Maxx Williams to help protect the edges as well.
