Top 5 Edsall Era Memories: #3 – Win at The Big House
In 2014, their first season in the Big Ten, the Maryland Terrapins had the opportunity to travel to Ann Arbour, Michigan and take on the Wolverines in The Big House.
When Maryland decided to make the switch from the Atlantic Coast Conference to the Big Ten, they knew they were going to have to go up against the big dogs of college football. With big time programs comes big time stadiums and fan bases.
Even though it was their first visit to Michigan Stadium, Maryland seized the opportunity and made the most of their travels by going in and defeating the Wolverines 23-16. The Terps finished the season out with a 5-1 record on the road which was a huge accomplishment for a team that was given little hope in their first year in the Big Ten.
