In a report from InsideMDSports, Randy Edsall is “unlikely to survive as Maryland’s football coach” through the weekend.
Edsall has had a poor start to the season with a 2-3 record and multiple quarterback changes. Edsall has used a combination of Caleb Rowe, Perry Hills and Daxx Garman under center this season leading to mixed results.
Edsall’s tenure at Maryland has been a brutal one. He is 22-33 with a .400 winning percentage.
The change comes at a sensible time due to Maryland having a bye week after the upcoming Ohio State game.
There is no word on who will take over for Edsall as the interim head coach. However, it could be offensive coordinator Mike Locksley or linebackers coach Lyndon Johnson.
Stay tuned.
