DeAndre Carter joined the Ravens this offseason as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Sacramento State. While at Sacramento State, Carter played in 41 games and hauled in 2017 receptions for 2,760 yards and 35 touchdowns.
There is currently a logjam at the wide receiver position for Baltimore, but because of injuries, Carter is trying to take advantage of every opportunity that comes his way. The 5-foot-8 speedster had his best practice of the summer last Friday. He caught an impressive touchdown pass from Matt Schaub and followed it up later on in the day with a grab courtesy of Joe Flacco.
Carter has definitely exhibited the ability to get open and make some plays downfield, so that could work out in his favor. He should probably be considered a long-shot at this juncture, but it will all depend on how many receivers the Ravens are willing to keep on the roster.
