Week 6: San Francisco 49ers – Oct. 18, 2015 (4:25 p.m.)

2014 Record: 8-8
Head-to-Head Record: 4-1
Last Meeting: Ravens 34 – 49ers 31 (Feb. 3, 2013)

You are not reading this if you do not remember the most recent matchup between these two franchises. At first, it seemed like it would be a blowout. Then, the power went out at the Superdome, and the shootout was on.

The 49ers will forever be a part of Ravens history as Baltimore claimed its second Super Bowl win following a dazzling postseason by Joe Flacco and Jacoby Jones. It was also the first time in NFL history that brothers were opposing head coaches in a Super Bowl, but the 49ers have now fired Jim Harbaugh, and John will seek to get some revenge for his brother.

There have been a lot of changes in San Francisco in addition to new Head Coach Jim Tomsula. Frank Gore is gone. Former Raven Torrey Smith has joined Anquan Boldin in the Bay Area. Several 49ers have also retired, including All-Pro linebacker Patrick Willis. Baltimore has won the last four between the two clubs, and could make that five as the Niners could be rebuilding this year.
