Just search Timmy Jernigan’s name you’ll come across multiple articles about how 2015 could be a breakout year for him. In 14 games as a rookie with the Ravens, he recorded 25 tackles and five sacks.
Jernigan showed flashes of brilliance in the four-game span during which Haloti Ngata had been serving his suspension. With Ngata now out of the picture, the former Florida State All-American has some high expectations for the upcoming season.
It’s quite apparent that Jernigan is adept at pressuring the quarterback, but he is out to prove that he is just as talented of a run stopper.
Having the opportunity to practice against one of the best offensive line units everyday in practice also helps out a lot. It has helped with his development and he may even become one of the better defensive tackles in the NFL in a few years.
