Leading up to the 2015 NFL Draft, the Ravens were throwing up smoke signals. Harbaugh and Flacco said over and over this offseason that they did not need another wide receiver and that first-round wide outs are hit or miss. The selection of Breshad Perriman with the 26th pick might be exactly that. Many have labeled the former Central Florida star as a boom or bust project.

The biggest need entering the draft was escaping the process with one of the top tight end prospects. Baltimore not only got one of the top, but the top man when they traded up a few spots to select Maxx Williams. Whether Dennis Pitta plays this season or not, Williams is the future at the position and will be given a lot of opportunities in his rookie season.

The Ravens also exited the draft with some talented players in the later rounds. Carl Davis, Buck Allen, Za’Darius Smith and maybe even Darren Waller all figure to make the 53-man roster and get playing time. Nick Boyle, Robert Myers and Tray Walker likely need some seasoning before we see them make an impact. Regardless, Ozzie worked his magic once again in this draft and has retooled this team.

The Baltimore Ravens have championship dreams for the 2015 season. Many in the national media are predicting that John Harbaugh will have this team back in the playoff race and competing for their third Super Bowl. That journey starts tomorrow when the Ravens veterans report to training camp.
