Big Ten Football: 5 Impact Freshmen for 2015
LB Nick Conner, Ohio State

The Buckeyes are now loaded at linebacker and a name that many don’t know yet, but will get to know is Nick Conner. Conner comes into Columbus as a 4-star prospect and one of the top inside linebackers in the country.
Conner can be considered somewhat of a forgotten man in Ohio State’s 2015 recruiting class because of how talented it actually is. Another factor could be the fact that he suffered a knee injury during his senior year of high school.
While Conner is not the highest rated linebacker in the Buckeyes’ class, he’s worked his butt off in spring practice and the Columbus Dispatch reports that the Ohio State locker room has taken notice. He absolutely balled out in the Buckeyes’ spring game, leading all players in tackles with seven. He also intercepted a pass and broke up another one.
Conner may not be a starter from Day 1, but expect plenty of action from him in his freshman season. He’s likely to play a great deal on special teams in 2015, but whatever it takes to get this kid on the field, they’ll do it.
