#4 – Zach Britton

While it is certainly true that when a team wins 18 games in one month, the designated closer is going to have had quite a few opportunities to excel. And this was true for Britton in June, but such a player still needs to get the job done.

He appeared in 13 games, registering nine saves with no blown saves whatsoever.

Britton threw a total of 14.1 innings, giving up two earned runs for an ERA of 1.26.  He allowed 11 hits and four walks, while also compiling 14 strikeouts. Opponents hit .220 off him, though many of those hits are junkers.
