The Wisconsin Badgers are in for a huge year offensively, particularly on the ground. The Badgers boast a talented group of running backs, led by a preseason Doak Walker Award candidate, Corey Clement. Clement obviously spent last season in the shadows of Heisman Trophy finalist Melvin Gordon, but he still quietly put in work and best believe he will be a household name when it’s all said and done.

As a sophomore, Clement carried the ball 147 times for 949 yards and nine touchdowns. He also reeled in 14 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Clement averaged 6.5 yards per clip, showing his impact play ability. His exceptional footwork and acceleration make him a dangerous threat in the open field.

Clement is not alone in the Badgers’ backfield though. He will have some help from Ogunbowale and Deal. Ogunbowale was called upon to step up in the midst of injuries and he played surprisingly well. He rushed for 193 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries. Deal did not play for Wisconsin last season due to injuries but he has impressed the coaching staff during practice. He has the opportunity to contend for that No. 2 spot as well.
